I'm lovin' it. *long*
Well about 3 weeks ago on a friday i decided to stop by mcdonalds and get some stuff on thier dollar menu
...i pull up to the drivethru only to find out that their machine is broken, so instead, its a guy standing outside under an ambrella taking orders...
i pull up and place my order when all of a sudden a gust of wind blows the umbrella (big beach size) down and it falls on my hood...so the guy taking orders and i both have the same reaction like WTF
...i look up and its a long 'keyed' mark right dead center in the middle of my hood...

so i park my car and talk to the manager and they take all my info down...then a couple days later i get a call from mcdonalds insurance and they ask me to take the car to a body shop of my choice and get an estimate...i quickly take it to the body shop and get an estimate and fax that over to the insurance...the estimate was for $1350
because they had to buff the hood down and blend the fenders and bumper together...i had a feeling the insurance wouldnt give me that much, but low and behold, 2 days later i get a check in the mail for $1050
so i found a good deal from a shop called Pro Motion Tuning, which doesnt have its grand openning till next week and they give me a deal on a cf hood for $275...

I'm VERY surprised at how well the hood fits considering its produced by wayson, same makers of aerogeer
...the hood lines up real nice and with the exception of one small chip underneath the drivers edge and no holes to put the hood prop, the hood is very well made...and yes it is heavier than the oem hood, oh well.
Thanks again to mcdonalds and pro motion...if anyone in va needs a hood they have one more in stock.
Cliff notes: mcdonalds umbrella fell on my hood, scratched it, gave me a nice check, bought a cf hood with it, kept rest of money

Isn't this considered insurance fraud?
