Inexpensive Roll Bar Camera Mount
After getting a roll bar, I wanted to see what my options were for a camera mount. I want a mount that is solid enough to support my camera, is removable, and wouldn't damage the paint on my roll bar.
There are things called super-clamps, used by photographers for mounting lights and whatever else. They clamp on to pipes perfectly, are very solid, and the rubber on them protects your roll bar piping.

You can also attach a small tripod head to the clamp to be able to adjust the camera, which is how I'm going to have it setup, but I didn't for these shots. Overall, the camera is held pretty steady, and using the tripod head should make it even a bit more solid. I'll update you guys in a few months when I can autox with this, and see how the footage looks.

The camera is a Canon 5D II, with a 15mm fisheye on. I'm going to try it next with my 24mm.
I have a external RODE VideoMic plugged into the camera with an extension cable, the microphone is in the cargo net on the passenger side of the transmission tunnel, that's why there is no wind noise. If you watch the video close, you can see it in the shot when the sun shines on it.
The tape over the Canon logo is just something I do, I don't like advertising
