Default Infrared Photography

I recently photographed my car in Infrared only. Thought I would share.

The second photo was an overcast day. The first was yesterday, it was clear direct sunlight.

Cool pics. It looks almost like the car was photoshopped into the background.

Hi Stocky. Infrared photography records the IR part of the light spectrum only. It is not sensitive to heat, thus a night pic with the engine running would not work in the way you think. IR is just outside of the visible spectrum, but can be recorded by a digital ccd. Most cameras have an IR filter, I just removed the one in this camera.

Thanks guys for the comments, it is kind of a different look.

It looks similar to shooting in "negative" mode available on most cameras/Photoshop.
