japan has the 2.2 but with the 8000 rpm redline like us. japan barely got the f22 this year 06, but before they had the 2.0 with 9k rpm with the new style cluster.

 

well it looks like the AP1 front end bumper and headlights but the guage cluster has the ap2 style and the rear bumper was from an AP2. I know the 06 in japan now has the 2.2 liter but its still the 8k redline as the AP2s here. I just thought it was pretty cool seeing the AP1 with AP2 cluster and rear bumper etc etc.

Really! then why did they said it was a stock 04 vs stock 02 if it is going to have a 00 to 03 cluster on it and with a 2.2 engine. The red one was pretty nice through.

 

The comparison was for the suspension adjustment Honda made from 02-04. There were changes made to the spring rates, shock valving and a revised rear geometry as well as 17" alloy wheels with wider tires. In japan, 04-05 have a instrument cluster similar to our AP2 except with a 9k Redline. The F22C was only introduced in Japan this yea, 2006. I believe the European market has had a choice between the F20C and the F22C.

The car in Initial D is an F20C. Its mentioned in this episode as well as the Manga.
