this vid. has been on streetfire for a few weeks. supposively, he is sueing (sp?) the track due to negligence, and the time it took for the rescuers to help him. im pretty sure he won the law suit.
A true testament to the fire retardant suits and other safety components in the car itself.
Unfortunate about the track staff and the serious no no's that were described by Muz. The first responder should have never left his side and kept him from moving at all. Any movement after serious burns can result in devastating injury and infection.

I think the problem with moving him has much more to do with the fact that he could have had a spinal cord injury. The other delimma here though is the fact that he is in an automobile that is on fire and could possibly explode. He probably should have been immobilized once out of the vehicle but i think the right decision was made to get him out quickly
holy sh!t that is really really disturbing to watch. as a mater of fact it pisses me off to watch that they are aren't really concerned with the drivers the one in the porsche either. they are more concerned w/ the cars. f#ck the cars dude! what the hell are they thinking i mean it took for ever for them to give any help trying to out the fire and just leave the guy. that would never happen in a race in the U.S. or Europe.thank God he lived and is able to function day to day...

I can't believe that he lived through that. His helmet was still smoking when they pulled him out... wow.
