umm no its just proves you cant put any power down in the rain if you have 430hp and a single turbo. being n/a the j's racing car is much easier to drive in the wet. in the dry i wouldnt be so sure it would beat the amemiya rx7. in every other battle the j's and amuse s2000's lost to the amemiya fd (it was still twin turbo back then).

 

I remember the amuse and the FD tied. The FD is hard to drive from the looks of it. It's not only with power and corner exit, but in corners too (he has to work hard to keep it straight)

For those complaining about HV filming the touge battle in the wet, they might not have any choice but to. The film date probably was scheduled months in advance and postponing it could possibly affect their budget. Not to mention, isn't this touge really some kind of bike path? If so, then probably can't film/drive on it whenever they want to. I'm sure Tsuchiya wouldn't let it go on it he thought it was unsafe as well.

Ok here are some sector times and lap time records. All of them in the dry. Tell me one more time that the S2K is not a momentum car that can dominate high horsepower machines. Remember too that the RE-Amemmiya FD Took the MCR touge monster GTR at 600PS in the dry with only 380PS. I'm not saying that the FD could not take the J's in the dry but I'm tiring to make a point here. The S2K is the ultimate N/A momentum car and its extremely impressive that it can hold it own with the turbo monsters! Especially since the S2Ks are in the 300PS class and all of the FD are in the MAX class.

when the tied, they said the fd was faster. but tsuchiya didnt want it to be about power. those two cars handled equally well so he gave them a tie

reread what i said...i never said the s2k isnt a momentum car or its not a cornering machine. im saying all the video proves is that you cant put down 430hp from a single turbo in the wet. the j's s2000 winning had nothing to do with the s2000 being a cornering machine...
