Default J_inDA_s2k build thread

For those that dont now my names Jason or J. I bought my 2001 S2000 used back in febuary of 2004, shortly after paying it off in june of 2009 i blewout second gear and with 110k miles showing on the odometer i decided to do a rebuild of pretty much the whole car. With very little car knowledge myself i was helped immensely by forum members rob(rob.ok), david (ilovemyap2) and KC (kc2001ap1) also had my buddy eric and my dad helping along the way. with out them i would have quit long ago so thanks again guys and now on to the pics!

how it use to look

when i realized i was in way over my head

too late to turn back now

flat blacked my engine bay

bought this motor out of a theft recovered 08 cr w/ 8k miles 2.2 power!

bought this used ap1 tranny with 36k miles and installed my old centerforce clutch which had 10k miles on it.

gutted soft top

mugen hard top

after over a year of sitting started putting it all back together finally!!!

body work started last month, shaved antenna/front bumper/trunk emblem.

couple pics from a couple weeks ago almost done

and the most recent pics, still needs to be cut and polished but im happy with how it came out!!!

I have apr front lip and oem ap1 rear spolier waiting to install.
future plans include puddymod built rear end, greddy turbo kit, hondata kpro, suspension, brakes and new wheels thinking chrome or black chrome volk re30's... its a never ending project really hope you guys enjoyed!

Looks good, but I'm not feeling the hardtop sides..I would paint it gloss black as well as the mirror bases. As long as you like it!

tooo much of one color going on.. you need something to break it up.. looks like a huge red brick on chrome wheels.. but I do like the color.. good choice
