Default Java Black/Gold STi & S2000

After doing a lot of test driving, research, haggling, I picked up this Black STi this past Friday. It was traded in for a new S4, and it only has 5k miles, so I got it for $26k. It has the boost guage, and auto-dimming mirrors which is $500 in options, the window sticker was in the glove box, it was well over $32k new.

It is going to be the wifes daily driver, and I am perfectly fine with her being able to lay the smack down on my S2000 at anytime. That is my lowly S2000 next to it in the pics. And I didn't plan on the color scheme match-up!

Anyways, it hauls ass. I can't get over how there is almost no turbo lag, just press the throttle and she spools up and your gone, in any gear. I drove it home about 3hrs on the highway and it pulls good in 6th gear. It brakes great, handles damn good, and it's comfortable too. I love driving it. Just need a radio!!

Awesome car I just love how that thing pulls my friend has a white one which he picked up in Sept and he can't stop driving it he already has 11,000 miles on it in only 6mo my S 01 only has 10,000 on the odometer. Today he installed the STI pink springs and took me for a ride after and all I can say is it was so much smoother than the stock setup which was suprising seeing how the were perfomance springs and dropped the car a good amount plus the way that thing could eat up the corners that we took was impressive. Some people may not care for the look of Subaru's but if you actually drive the car I think you will definetly find a new respect for them

Yeah, my wife was not sold on the looks. But after the test drive she was like .
We looked at the RX-8, yeah it looks nice but it's underpowered/overpriced plain and simple. I think it looks best in black or white because it tones down the lines a bit. In fact I wanted to find a white one but they are hard to come by.

I am reading into some of the mods and the pink springs sounds great. I am trying to find a BOV that won't cause the car to run rich, it seems some people are having problems with that.

Trust me if you go with those springs you will be amazed the first thing i commented on was how much softer and smoother the ride was it was very comfortable. He was going to get a blow off valve too but held of because of the same issue you mentioned there our ones that are 50% atmospheric which seem to be ok and you should be able to avoid the running rich prob you don't get as loud of a psssssssttt sound but it will be more noticable than the stock.
