Tsukuba GT3 Time Attack
Did I understand this video correctly?? I didn't know J's Racing made mods for a GT3!

See, again, I want to call BS!!!! So he just clocked a slightly modified GT3 at only 1 second quicker than that of the new STI 5 door? The weather even looked better for the GT3? I have no faith in the car reviews/tests that BMI does.
Anyone care to explain? Maybe I'm naive, maybe the STI/EVO's are that good. Just seems like the new 997's are impecable.

Then...
I watched it again and noticed that this car was heavily modified and I can attribute these times to a few negatives:
-The car's balance has been thrown off with the suspension mods
-The driver was having a hard time (notice how he lifts and corrects through the last corner??)
-Keiichi Tsuchiya doesn't usually drive Porsches and maybe a little more seat time would yield faster times.

I realized as soon as I saw this GT3's dive under braking and all the movement during cornering that it wouldn't be the best for lap times. People need to stop taking Tsuchiya's videos so literally an think about other possibilities.
tsukuba is a very small track without a lot of straightaways necessary for the GT3 to really stretch it's legs. The GT3 would eat the sti's butt on a longer track like mid-ohio or road atlanta
