i like it. is there room to lower it more and still be able to use the locknut?

try it for a couple days and see what you think. another big plus to the locknut is that somebody can't just unscrew your shift knob if you have it parked with the top down.

basically the shift knob is weighted. if i were to take the locknut off i could screw the entire knob down and the weight would be in the center of the shifter. i'll take a pic in a minute, it looks a lot better like that i'd have to agree.
