from BMI - Battles at 10,000RPM:
The J's Racing S2000 has a rev limit of 8400rpm, which was raised to 9000rpm for the battle. The engine was stroked to 2.2L, the piston speed at 9,000rpm is the same as the 2.0 at 10,000rpm
