Wow, it actually looks a lot bigger than the mugen unit with that second 'chamber'.
So tell us, is it better or worse than the mugen?

I wonder if that intake tube bulge is along the same concept as the Comptech. Looks like J's put everything into this setup, even button down scoop. I like this very much; it really has everything I'd be looking for and am interested. Any vendors out there?

PS: A drawback would be the cutting of the stock grill slats, but I am still interested.

Schatten said he could get this if anyone is interested. I think this is a really interesting concept as J's has incorporated the Mugen, Spoon, and the bubble from this intake https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=65032 to create the ultimate CF intake design.

The hood still needs to be cut correct?

The bulge on the Mugen hood might be in a different spot than this intake would require. I sure hope I wouldn't have to cut some of the cf 'bracing'. I'll try to compare pics of the two systems.

Al, maybe this will give you an idea of the differences in the hood. The following picture is the J's Hood with the Mugen Intake cutout, while the picture Foe posted above appears to be J's hood with the J's Intake cutout.

This picture was provided to me by the president of J's through Mingster.

Thanks for the pic. I realize that all I had to do was look at my hood, and see where the J's goes from the intake pics.

Anyway, from the looks of the two hoods in this thread, J's intake with Mugen hood is good to go.
