Mostly DIY... I didn't do any of the spraying, but did almost everything else (Sanding original paint, washing, cleaning, disassembly, sanding the sealer, sanding the clear coat). Sanding is probably 80% of the work anyways.
If I see another piece of sandpaper in my life I'm gonna lose it.
Final tally is about 100+ hours EACH.
Our schedule for the past 3 weeks
8:30AM-5:30PM - Work
6PM until 10PM or 12PM - Sanding
10 or 12 - 8AM Sleep
We were there both days on weekends as well.

The color is amazing. It will change colors from a pink in the sun, to magenta in indoor light, to red in lower light.
It's not too girly of a color either. On days that I have to, it wouldn't be too bad being seen in this.
Back story:
Mina's always loved pink. I don't know how many [useless] things we've bought just because it was pink. One of my favorite is a pink calculator that's the size of a 19 inch monitor. She still has never used it to do a calculation.
She bought her car around 3 years ago in 07, and we were going to paint it a few months afterward. We never pulled the trigger because it was a brand new car with a brand new BB paintjob. We couldn't sand down a brand new car!
She'd been wanting to paint her car pink for probably 5 years now, even with her 2G Eclipse Spyder GST. So since Homecoming 2 was coming around, what better time? It'd surely draw some attention to my booth. We started on it about 3 weeks before I had to leave for Homecoming 2. With all the work, we were cutting it close. We intended to leave the night of the 17th, but didn't end up leaving until 2 days later. Sure it cut our vacation short, but she is sure that it's worth it.
