Can anyone tell me what the rubber hoses are for? Are they supposed to be spacers?

The rubber spacers go between the splitter and the lip. It's my understanding they act as a shock absorber for the splitter on curb hits, etc.

Anyone know if the mounts on the bumper are the same between the AP1 and AP2? I would like to see what the Coastal Metals AP2 splitter looks like on an AP1 S2000 with oem lip.

I dont think it would look very good. The lip on an AP1 is one continuous curve from side to side and the lip on an AP2 is kinda notched in the center. You'd just end up with the side sections sticking out.

I was just curious if anyone had tried. It's hard to picture how something will look without actually seeing it.

You should see the Puddy mod splitter. It is awesome and very functional.

I need to get new edging for my splitter. It's all tore up now from being lowered and scraping. I need to contact coastal to see if they will sell me some
