Actually, he switched from Subaru to Ford in order to compete in the WRC championship. As Subaru is not officialy involved anymore, he couldn't make it this way. So he will be driving Ford Focus WRC or Ford Fiesta S2000 as shown upper. In fact, Ford just take the advantage of his fame to present the new Fiesta race car, but this is far from a road legal car guys... it's a rally race car.

4WD with a 2l NA around 280hp for the Fiesta and he will be in Malcolm wilson's Msport team, the official Ford race team.

Now, we will see how he will compete against real pilots like Loeb and Hirvonen.

Looks like he's got some WRC races in his calendar. Considering FORD has been kicking Subaru ass in the WRC the last few years, it doesn't come as that much of a surprise that he switched. Should have gone with Citroen ultimately.

 

I don't think he chooses you know, he pays to drive that car, and citroen's team is already full of real rally drivers, or guys like Kimi!!

Not the same level, no one is interested in hiring this guy, he wanted to compete in this championship and Ford is the only solution for a "paying" driver with big sponsors to drive an up to date WRC.

Citroen don't hire their race car to anyone coming with money, they did with petter solberg last year because it is Petter Solberg, I mean, they can have some good feed back from a guy that was world champion, once again, not the same level...

This Ford Fiesta S2000 won the Monte Carlo Rally in the IRC this week end with Mikko Hirvonen behind the wheel!
