Keyless entry car, easier to break into?
Someone broke into my car at an Ikea's parking lot. The job was pretty clean, nothing was scratched, nothing was bent, and nothing "valuable" was taken except a lot of clothes that I left to dry clean (winter coats, sweaters, and pants), one of my books, and the my registration and insurance cards. I thought keyless entry cars were more difficult to get into, but I guess not..
Feels really grimy knowing that some sucker has my home address and my car/insurance informations..

A close up. There were a lot of grease left overs, and notice how the O-shape has cracked by the 6 o'clock mark.

Anyone with a good guess as to why they stole the registration/insurance cards? Anything I should be cautious with?
Thanks and thieves suck.

Well, that car has key entry just like most cars made today. Keyless entry has nothing to do with the physical locking cylinder. So, all you have to do is break the lock cylinder and operate the door lock.
did you all know that all they need is your keyless remote entry pager deal. And even from far away like, lets say your at work and they break in your house and have the remote. They could be at your house, call a partner of theirs and if that guy is by your car it will open it if they hold it to the phone and press unlock? I thought it was BS but i tried it and it work. I know its off subject but just a warning for everyone to hide yours keys and remote.
Technically, keyless cars are harder to break into if you shave off the door locks. Nothing to pick or break. However, that is hardly going to stop someone who REALLY wants to get into your car.

Did they take your garage opener also? You might wanna keep your doors/windows locked if they know where you live.
