KillerBlackbirds Silverstone S2K thread
While this probably won't be the most exciting build thread you will ever see, I like to take photos, so rather than make 83,712,830 threads I'll just keep posting new shots in this thread along with little stuff I do to the car as time goes on.
Long story short; I joined S2Ki many years ago for the simple fact I wanted an S2000, came close to buying a new one and finally bought a used one last year. It only took close to 10 years for me to make up my mind and do it.
Car is a 2001, Silverstone/black interior. Original 1 owner car, had 42,500 miles when I bought it last year.

Some mild clean-up work after I bought it, notice all the gravel on the floor that came from the rear bumper haha.

I bought an OEM Honda front lip last summer, one of the last remaining ones in stock before they were discontinued.

Whenever I built an S2000 online on the Honda website I always included the OEM hardtop lol, I hate convertibles and I love how the OEM top looks. When I found out they were discontinued after I bought the car I kept looking and looking for a top but they proved very hard to find.
So when NFR_AP2 said he was selling his S2000 I immediately sent him a message asking if he would sell it and how much, then I was on my way to Atlantic City to pick the top up (8 hours one way from where I live).
When I got back, my friend (who works at a body shop) and I both tore the top apart to prep it for the color change. He did a great job and the paint came out perfect.

On January 2nd of this year I ordered a set of 17X10 +45 CE28N's in bronze and on June 5th I had them in my hands. I did quite a bit of research and I knew I wanted a 17" concave face CE28, from what everyone else said the 17X10 +45 was the easiest to fit out of the 3 sizes that concave.
While waiting for the wheels I ordered Fortune Auto 500 coilovers with Swift springs in a 10K front and 9K rear spring rate. I also purchased Project Kics R40 Neo-Chrome lugs, EVS axle spacers, and aluminum hub centric rings.
Originally I wanted Dunlop Star Spec 255/40 tires, but since I waited until the wheels shipped to buy tires and Tire Rack is the only place that sells Star Spec tires - they happened to be out of stock in that size. So I noticed the Tire Rack stocks Toyo R888 R-compound tires in 255/40-17 (Ive had a fixation with Advan A048's for a while) and I looked at it as an excuse to buy R-compound tires.
Im not a huge fan of stretched tires, on certain cars its ok. The R888's sit nice and square on the wheels. Absolutely perfect in my eyes and the car still retains function.

I had my fenders rolled flat front and rear, but I also chose to slightly pull the fronts. In the shot below thats before the pull, with slightly more camber they may have fit without rubbing but I didn't want to risk ripping a fender off going around a corner at speed, especially if I hit a bump.
Next year I plan on buying Downforce front fenders since I can still use the fender liners with those fenders.
Final alignment settings are -2 front, -3 rear, stock caster settings, and rear toe as close to zero as possible.

And the rest are in its current state.
Eventually I'd like to get a J's Racing 70RS single in stainless and maybe a few other small things (intake, etc).
