Kinesis wheels have always been and always will be strong reputable wheels. One failure doesnt mean the company plain out sucks, and should lower their prices. No matter how great a company is there will always be a item that has a flaw or two which nobody catchs. The workers are human so human mistakes will be made.

I have to disagree with your first sentence, Kinesis has taken a huge reputation hit. Many people are un sure of their quality, hence the remarks made by others in this thread. Also, I don't think they had one failure, I believe they had a few. I may be mistaken. That said, they have been around for a long time, and there have been people racing on their wheels for a long time. I personaly wouldn't mind owning a set of Kinesis wheels, but Rays Eng. is my favorite wheel manufacturer.

People are unsure because they never owned a set themselves. I have had a rays wheel fail on me once... it was the gramlight pro's and the spokes broke in two. Does that mean Ray wheels are crappy? Neh, it happens.. and it happend over a pothole.

Gram Light Pro's (to my knowledge) are not forged, they are a cast wheel, making them uncomparable to forged Rays and Kinesis wheels.

Regardless, your point came across very clear and I also agree that there are no invincible almighty wheels.

Your right it happens but your Rays were cast so totally different process went into making those wheels. So you have two different strengths going on here. I am not bashing them. I just dont care for them and even more so after the failures. Hey we are all entitled to our own opinions even if someone disagrees right?
