This is my dad and I with his '69 911e Targa and my S. Even though he was pissed as hell when I got it, I know inside he totally understands.

Any other father/son photos out there?

My father sold his last cool car (62 vette roadster) about a month before I turned 16

Nah, at the time I owed him a big chunk of money and probably should've paid him back but bought the S instead.

Nice pic.

My father drove a model A for his first car, whkich he still has and says he'll restore it someday, when he has the time. He thought I was crazy for buying this car living in the northeast (he's also VERY conservative). I took him for a spin on a local highway last summer and shifted 1-3 around 8500 and somewhere in VTEC out of 4. He was talking away and smiling the whole time (this guy is NOT into speed), enjoying it as much as me.

No more negative comments from him.

My dads only remotely "sporty" car was his 1957 Studebaker Silver Hawk. My son drives a 91 Legend Coupe and is currently looking for a third generation Mazda RX-7.
