Riiigghhtt... Because that's how she earned the money for the car. By using her "brains". Probably 85% of the people that own expensive cars & houses didn't earn their money by being smarter and becoming a higher paid worker. They did it either through good fortune (inheritance, etc), or through some other random "talent"... athletics, acting, singing. I put "talent" in quotes, because most of today's "musicians" aren't all that talented.

Anyway, I don't see why everybody's ragging on the girl. It's her money, and she bought a nice car. The wreck wasn't even her fault, so you can't honestly say that "she doesn't know how to drive". For all you know, she may spend her weekends at the local road course. Give the girl a break. Most of you guys can't really drive as well as you think you do, either... but I bet you wouldn't hesitate to buy a 6-figure car if you could afford it.

But seriously.... she needs to stop spending so much time with Mary-Kate. That's just not healthy.

Poor car... I do wish high caliber super cars had some sort of deterrent factor for people buying them just for the bling factor or curb appeal.

Most high-end sports cars have quirks about them that prevent them from being liked by the mass public. Ferraris are ultra stiff and ridiculously loud in the cock pit making them rather uncomfortable commuters especially in the pot hole ridden streets of LA (but that hasnt stopped rappers and sports starts from putting 20s on them and crusing Rodeo Drive which pisses me off) but the SL65 is so civil in general, it doesnt command any special patience or skill to communte with it.
I'm so sick of this digustingly superficial city of LA. I agree with others on this board completely on the topic of how disgusting rich folk buying expensive cars just casue they can is. This obsession with status is just overwhelming in Beverly Hills... And its not even the status craze that bothers me so much, but when people go for the sports cars they cant handle that gets me. If i was rich but couldnt really drive, i'd be happy showing off in a nice BMW 5 Series with some AC Schnitzer rims.

god damn, it just makes me fume seeing such an incredible piece of machinery go to waste before not even 5% of its potential could be appreciated.

^ I dont get it man...Yeah, to us the car may seem like a waste, but do you actually think that every person that buy's a sports car is supposed to take it to a track and run the shit out of it?...Honsetly...The truth is no..The main reason people buy such cars "IS" for a status symbol...To show other's that "hey..I can afford this and you cannot"..I'm sure l. lohan went to the MB dealership and said " I want the most expensive car you have on the lot...and I dont want to see anymore then 2 on my 3 hour drive home on the road....including my own"...Everything in that part of the states is about status...if you have money, you have better have a car that has more power then you'll ever need (or use in this case), more options then you know what to do with, and rims that come factory stock no smaller then 19's...Its all about status...

 

They do have to look good driving whatever it is they are driving in all those paparazzi shots you know....How do you think the tabloids would rag on her if she was driving a civic?
