lip guard
This is an item I used on the front lip of my Prelude for years and on the S for about a year and a half. It's really just 3/4" black rounded body moulding (part #6291602-S). It's attached just behind the leading edge of the lip and absorbs most of the usual grinding and abuse. It last me about a year and a half per application before it wears away and the box contains enough to do the lip 4 or so times. It's available at most trim or paint supply shops for about $15. It won't work for all types of lips but may help save a few.

The lip was also sprayed with a clear permanent bra and a .060 thick, 1" wide rubber edge put on the lip to protect it from minor taps with parking stops etc. The edge is easily removed if the look isn't acceptable.
