For desktop wallpapers I prefer to not have the image be full screen. I've started framing a smaller image with a drop shadow and putting it on a colorful radial gradient.

Blah blah blah ... this is what I'm talking about



It will be slow to load, by the way. I've actually got a 50MB+ Photoshop document that I have about 20 center images and 10 background images ready to go. All I do is pick an image and a background and save as a jpg. I need to get it converted into an Active Desktop so it will randomly select them on its own and load a new desktop for me. But I'm lazy.

I use 1600 x 1200, and this image was scaled down. It's difficult to see the drop shadow at the smaller resolution.
