I think black wheels on bright colored cars look very racy, it's a change from the norm. But the primary reason why I like the Spoon wheels is the performance factor. I test drove Prolene's car with the Spoon wheels and I could feel a noticeable improvement in braking. The brake pedal needed only very light pressure to bring the car to a halt...the car didn't have any sort of brake upgrades. I had Motul RBF 600 fluid on my car and still felt the difference. Another improvement was in cornering. The front outer corner didn't dive at all, there was plenty of grip in that corner which allowed faster, more stable turns. I can't say about improvements in accel because Prolene had many engine mods that made his car feel more responsive overall! The Mugen header does wonders!

As you know, I have a black car, and I don't think I can live with the all black combo. It looks great on The Reverend's car as well as on turb_pwr's ride but I'm looking for a bit of color. That's why I'm looking at other ultra light weight rims in bronze with 35 front and 45 rear offset. Not having much luck

BTW, if ya'll didn't know the Yellow car above is using +35 offset in the front and +45 offset for the rears.

I'm still not sure about the black Spoon rims on Yellow... I'd definitely have to lower it if I do. I like it, but it's definitely not a pimpin' rim fo sho!

Reecespieces, did you think about getting the RegaMaster Evo in silver or GunMetal for your BLK S2K?? As you already know, they're the ones who actually make the SW388 rims for Spoon, but Spoon has the exclusive rights on the Black color of the rim.

I thought about GunMetal/Silver Evo on the Yellow also...

I liked the idea of black rims on a black car but I have to admit after seeing them on this forum I am dissapointed.

They sort of look tatty.

Sorry, just my opinion

Mas, I actually considered the Gold Regamasters seen here (IMHO the color of Mugen's bronze MF-10's look best on a black S2k):

Also, if you're getting the Spoons for looks, I say go for something else. Also, have you seen SSR Type C/SSR Competitions:

These are also very light weight and available in different sizes. Dunno about offsets

Wow, those SW388s on that yellow S2k, look awesome. Very mean looking combo. Once the car is lowered a bit it will be absolutely perfect! Makes it look like ALL go and NO show!

While my ride is not a S2k (yet) it is a Honda with a bit of performance to it. And of course I have black rims!

Keep the Spoon and other black/gunmetal S2k rim pics coming!
