Good read and good points. I also agree with Turbo_pwr. I have always bought real Japan parts on everything for this car. I did however want to see what a "style" hood looked like and the real deal next to each other for comparison. So I bought a 4IG CF js style hood and the real Js hood from Ben at Bulletproof. I can tell you first hand that the weave was smaller on the real hood and the weight was about the same. The fitment was a little better than the style hood. The only bad thing I saw with the style hood was that it was too wobbly when you tried to test its strength. Other than that it was overall a good piece for $500 vs. $1000 for the real deal.
My biggest beef would be with the guys that use my pictures to sell their cwest style kit on ebay or where ever. That was weak and low and false advertisement. I saw one of these style kits up close and it was nowhere near the quality or shape or fitment of mine. IMO it all boils down to, why sell yourself short with a copy? Just buy the real deal. If you cant afford it than leave it OEM or stock or start saving. Theres no shame in that. These are beautiful cars regardless if it has a Feels kit or OEM kit. Dont get me wrong though. There are some style kits out there that are a good fitment. I have seen those too. Perfect example was my friend DUC's car. His is one of the hottest S2000s on this site and he told me it wasnt even a real Cwest kit and he fooled me with the pictures. I thought this whole time it was a real kit. Nevertheless it looks great. Its still one of the best cars on this site IMO. Anyway sorry for rambling on...
