Seriously though, the Exige looks great.

 

Those are both awesome cars. Im currently looking into either a 07exige s or a 05-06 carrera 2s. Since you have both a 911and exige you would probably be the best to ask. Which car would you recommend as a weekend car. Considering all aspects and overall enjoyment of the car.

 

good years for both cars..

i bought 07 exige because i didnt like scoop and interior panels on 08 (08 has the "soft plastic" interior panels that peel off with wear (you rub against most panels daily with the in/out routine)... i did really like the gauges and key fob tho.. but interior wear was more important and the sexier scoop.

the 05/06 carrera is good year, i had an 05 before my 09.... 06 obviously is a better year because isnt the first year production but i never had problems with my 05 at all..

if i had to decide based on enjoyment overall i would pick an 07 exige... if i had to choose based on which one would be more passenger friendly and more usable i would pick porsche.. the exige is fun, pure fun.... doesnt fit any luggage... passengers are always like WTF... etc.. the porsche is fun and you feel very connected but its just not as fast and not as "racey" but it does fit a shit ton of luggage... and passengers get in and out with ease.

hope its ok to post this picture. i hangout with my buddy in his elise and couple of other Lotus guy's this past weekend. Lotus 7 has a Zetec engine, the V8 twinturbo is pushing 450whp sounds mean. there was another lotus 7 with a F20 engine in it.
