Actually you can....the Mugen FRP and CF both fit better than the Honda OEM. I've had all three on my car...and helped countless number of locals install their OEM ones to their cars.
The Mugen pieces fitment is spot on.

My OEM had alot of rattles, and it never seemed to have a "perfect" fit.
My Mugen fits like a glove, makes no noise and looks much better also

Let me end this argument right now.....I say Mugen.
Just imagine this car on MF10's.
As for air leak, neither of my two hardtops leaked at speed. The FRP did leak a couple of times, but some Shinu-etsu grease on the rubber seals, and a quick slight adjustment on the mounting hardware cured that.
The CF top never leaked, even at speeds around 138 mph (just tested out a month ago
).
The thing I didn't like about the OEM top that I had for about two months, was that in mounting it, once you have one side secured in the rear catch, the other side has to be pushed in to meet the catch. I didn't like the flex or the weight. Also, that piece, creaked and cracked alot on colder mornings.
With the two subsequent Mugen tops, I did NOT miss the defroster one bit. Plastic windows warm up quickly in cars that have small cabin space.

i like both, personally, bit i would say go with the mugen if you are going to get the mugen body kit or go with the oem if you are going to keep the exterior for the most part stock. I think you will be happy either way though. Both look great.

OEM. Either way, both will look hot.
your set up though. Mugen top is amazing on the blue.
