as for the esstookay ones.. be sure your image is RGB.. Image>mode>rgb.. then, just click your layer.. then filters>artistic>cutout and there it is....

as for mine and Pmantis's work.. its a lot more intensive and time consuming.. I know I spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 hours doing the Amuse car... it was a combo of a lot of tools, gradients, layer combining.. blurring.... etc... I don't think I could even write a tutorial on it if my life depended on it

Maybe Francis has a better grip for it...

__pq, that's some awsome work

I know how much time goes into that, cause I've done similar stuff before.

Here's a cellshade of an RSX I did a while back that took a few hours, hand traced and shaded
PMantis24 that looks good! you use gradient mesh or is it straight gradients. i have played around a little with gradient mesh its mad fun. I did an

EssTooKayTD thats cool if thats what you were going for but alot of poeple dont understand the time and effort that goes into illustrating and think that its just a filter or something, glad to hear you understand and thanks!!!

i have tons of the cellshaded look cars and bikes i have done

__pq that cellshaded bike looks awsome, man look at the details

I'm still drooling over the job you did with JONJOS79's car, it's just so nice and detailed Gonna have to have you do my '04 when I mod it up a bit

I just used straight gradient for the shading, I'll have to look at that gradient mesh

thanks man. and yeah im down for doing your 04 when you get some pics.

Dark_Sub_Rosa: gradient mesh is super fun but it takes forever to reach a photorealistic image. anitalias is just adding more pixels to a images edge. like the higher the aliasing, more pixels, the smoother the edges. lesser aliasing, rougher the edges. pretty simple.
