Actually a white lip, hood, roof, and wing and some white wheels might look good. You'd have to take the tape off the window frame though, so it would be blue.

Possible hawtness?

Well in most situations you can simply adjust the Hue. But the the object you're wanting to change the color of has to have color to begin with, no grays.

Image > Adjustment > Hue / Saturation (ctrl + U)

You'll get a set of sliders to make easy adjustments with.

However, if you're wanting to add color to a colorless object, you've got you're work cut out for you. There are various techniques of creating a layer of color and setting its opacity so you can see through it, allowing the original image's b/w to provide shadowing for the new color ... etc, but you have to trim out the area you want.
