Matte red....to do it or not to do it....hummm
well my buddy owns the shop that was going to take on the painting...he owes me so I would only need to pay for prepping of the hard top, painting of the hard top, and then the matte job on the entire car would be on the house, just pay for the paint.
I would have to do the honors of stripping the car down and pulling doors, hood, trunk etc.., I think I would leave the engine in and keep the engine bay gloss until I pull the engine for a rebuild later next year then finish it.
I dont know, I may just find a place to wrap it and have them do like my front end of the car or just one side and see if I like it. Might only be like $500, but its better than wasting the time and money on something I would regret later.
