Very nice! I have put two coats of NXT on my Berlina and love the stuff.

BTW, I thought carnuba would go on top of NXT.

thanks everyone...

Deiger, the street shot was kinda difficult....rolling through a dowhill turn, holding the camera with one hand, and steering with the other....

doesnt NXT strip other coats of wax off??? so wouldnt it be pointless to do the 3 step and then NXT?

NXT is a synthetic wax. Most synthetics need a clean surface to be able to bond to the car. NXT has some really light cleaners in it which clean off the surface of the car so that the wax will have a clean surface to bond onto. This makes layering NXT or applying it on top of any other wax useless as whatever is under it gets taken off when you apply the NXT.

On top of NXT you can layer anything that doesn't have cleaning ability. This is where the carnauba comes in. Since it has no cleaning agents you can layer it on top of a synthetic wax to provide more depth to your shine.

Wanabe (mod for the wash and wax forum) has been layering carnauba on top of synthetics for a whileand was the one who cued me into doing it. He goes the Zaino then P21S route and it looks amazing on his black car.

It's amazing how much you can learn in our wash and wax forum and the autopia forums (http://www.autopia.org/forums)
Cheers,
Karim

I'm actually going to go back to Zaino with my next application of wax because while I like NXT its durability leaves something to be desired in my opinion and now that I've probably stripped all the zaino off why not start clean I've been happy with NXTs shine not not happy with the fact you cannot layer it and it does seem as durable as Z
