the anvil is taller in the side by side comparison but when installed is the anvil the same height as the sphere knob?

The new model sits about 1/4" higher than the sphere in the lowest position.

so, anvil 2 is higher by a quarter but what about anvil 1?

Which are you comparing them to? Anvil II is 1/4" higher than the anvil I is what I meant. But are much lower than stock.
Titanium Model is same height as the anvil I.

Few more ones I did messing around with anodizing them. Get some really cool iridescent colors.
Hard to see in the pictures but the purple really changes from blue to purple depending on the angle and light etc.

As for which is better can't answer that as better is different for each person.

let me rephrase that.

in terms of size, how much bigger/heavier is the Ti knob compare to the FD2 CTR knob?
