Longtime lurker first time poster! I thought I would share some photos of my recent S2000 build. I have always wanted to own a S2000 ever since I was young and my dream finally came into realization in 2016 with the purchase of my first black 2005 (See photos below). I ended up selling the 2005 and purchasing a 2008 in NFR as I always wanted to own a S2000 in red. My ultimate inspiration for this car was an overall CR or Type S look, since the CR's have sky rocketed in price I decided to build myself the next best thing.

My 2005 AP2
I definitely miss this car!
The replacement!
CR wing & lip after paint. (was originally berlina black and was going to go on my old car).
CR trunk sprayed!
Installed!
They sent me two of the same side wing risers, it took me another month or so to get the right pieces in.
Decided to install it anyway!
Picked up my hardtop out of storage off my old black 2005 and installed it with all the necessary hardware.
Had the window trim wrapped gloss black felt it flowed better with the overall look!
Had my V3's sanded and painted Kaiser Silver.
Mounted up some new Falken Azenis 615K+, with a 255 rear.
Mounted!
Finished Product!
Decided to install black side emblems.
Clear side markers installed!
Wanted to upgrade the sound, so installed some Alpine door speakers and tweeters.
New Deck, finally some bluetooth!
Installed!
Ultimately I knew I wanted to install a subwoofer in the future so I decided to install an amp
All wired up.
Bass knob mounted under the driver side dash!
Amp mounted in the spare tire compartment!
Made a custom subwoofer box out of fiberglass resin, definitely was an intensive project.
Installed some carpet!
Test fitted.
Installed an Alpine 10" type R, definitely happy with the sound, will install a speaker grill later on.
Fits like a glove!
Decided instead of purchasing some carbon fender guards that I would make my own.
Made out of a scrap hard plastic.
Mounted up, will definitely protect from the Falken tires and the amount of rocks they throw!
Looks almost OEM.
Picked up a Greddy Spectrum Elite Dual Exhaust.
Installed!
Quick engine bay wash and detail.
Thats as far as I have come for now, looking to eventually clean up the interior and also do some suspension mods in the near future.
Thanks for viewing!

2021 Updates**
Finally decided the S needed some suspension so ended up picking up a set of Ohlins DFV's
Ohlins laid out ready for install!
Installation almost complete!
Ride height after install! The Ohlins have been a great addition to the vehicle, completely flat around corners! Stock suspension was great, but found this setup to have more adjustability according to my liking.
No suspension install is complete without dialing in the alignment!
Added a Berk 70MM HFC to my Greddy exhaust setup.
Out with the old in with the new!
Hybrid racing shift knob! still not sure if I like the way it feels while shifting but its here for now!
Hondata Flash Pro Installed, car definitely feels more lively and feels almost the way it should have been from factory.
My detailer removing some bird droppings that etched into my PPF on the front clip!
Found this old valve cover from my local classifieds and decided to give it a second chance on life!
Powder coated gloss yellow, alongside a wrinkle black spark plug cover! I thought it came out really nice. Picked up new seals all around and will install this in summer of 2022 alongside a valve adjustment.
And that's all she wrote for summer of 2021, car is currently stored away and patiently waiting for Summer of 2022! ✌️
Great job OP, obviously a labor of love. BTW as we're discussing in the main S2000 Talk forum, your U.S. '08 suspension is already nearly the same as the JDM Type S; I'd suggest that a nice low-miles used CR suspension would be perfect for your build, though.
Cheers!
This is now my inspiration. I have been losing so much interest in the S2000 after getting the Type R. Going back to stock and looking into a Type S/CR styling.
