Sorry to hear about your accident...and it sucks that people rag on you at a time when you're feeling pretty low. Trust me, I know how that feels...

I have taken more than my fair share of crap from people about various things here...most of it in jest, but some not. People who weren't on the scene of your mishap, or any mishap for that matter, simply will never know what happened. It's just not possible...yet some people feel like they know everything there is and prefer to throw rocks than try to understand what really went down. I don't get it...it's just some people's nature to criticize, even if the facts are not on their side.

It leads me to conclude that a misinformed turd who thinks they know something they don't is still a turd.

Keep your head high...you'll be back on the road soon.

I think I am going to cry. You guys are so sweet coming to mrwong's aid! If I could post a picture of a flower or butterfly to demonstrate what kind of feelings I am experiencing right now I would.

The fact remains that I still think mrwong is a moron.

S2K_Dallas that is twice.

I specifically said you respect your fellow members, no name calling and no calling anyone a moron.

I think you need a time out.

When the tires lost traction, did you gun it or try to whip the ass out?

A 180, curb, 2 mailboxes and all the way up a steep hill? I just can't see how you could have swung the ass out that much to cause the results you posted.

The rears do look worn pretty bad.

Anyhoo, glad you didn't get injured and that the car was repaired to your satisfaction. Keep it safe

Sorry about the accident --- I had a similar one in my S2000 this July 27th --- the rear tires lost traction on damp pavement and the car did a 300 degree spin and rear ended a concrete retaining wall ....

I now have 2,000 miles on the new SO3's ... prefer them -- they are safer for street use .... I will not (again) editorialize on teh rear SO 2's ... but those of you who still have them .. need to be careful and check the tread wear often.

It's easy to swing any RWD car around at 15mph. I've done it on my Bertone and S2000 many times...but thankfully I've always been able to recover before it went past 90' (except at the track where I did loose it once due to brake fade...) I've also dumped my motorcycle at a complete stop...due to a fresh oil slick.

Cars are like bullets, they can do the most unbelievable things!

mrwong -- keep posting, but a thick skin does help on the internet where "invisibility" invites otherwise untolerated behavior.
