i used the diffuser how-to on ricks site for the headlights ( www.ricks2k.com ) but once you have the lens off, the housing that the amber is attached to is held on by two phillips head screws, and the lenses themselves clip in.
i've always been a fan of amber, but i wanted to try something different. i'm almost 100% pleased.
the only way i would have preffered to do it, is with actual smoked diffusers in the headlights, instead of no lense. but no one makes them, and the demand isnt there for ricks to make them.
and maybe not so dark on the wheels. maybe like a gun mettalic black mix type color
as for the paint, duplicolor wheel coating from pep boys, and clear. duplicolor caliper paint from pep boys, and Testor transparent candy apple red from Michael's or other arts and crafts stores. wherever they sell those scale model cars you put together and paint.
