sorry, i'm wondering what you mean by the bg is made from scratch.. is it a 3D CG file (Bryce, Maya, Truespace)? or did he sketch it and color it by hand? if he's doing a hand drawing, then that's great, but if he's doing this on a computer and it takes him 50hrs... like someone said before, he's wasting his time. his art is great, but that can be done in 1hr tops.
