nice knob. i got the same one. it IS indeed almost 3 times heavier than the stock knob.. perhaps more?!

you'll be amazed at how damn heavy the knob is.. but.

because of the similar height to the oem knob, actual driving/shifting doesnt really feel like night and day but rather similar to morning and afternoon.. i don't know if that makes sense.. but basically it doesnt make that much difference.

the finish of that knob is SUPERB. i love mine. looks/feels great..

GREAT MOD! affordable too!

Yeh, it's like its made of some alien material, you take it out of the box, and you're STUNNED at how heavy it is. It's about a 1lb. Of course it's just solid billet steel, but it's still a surprise manipultaing in your hand something so small but SO heavy.

I agree it's not a night and day difference, and I have no need for a lower knob, I'm very tall, and the stock height is just right for comfort. I'm still getting used to the car, so it's still the best shifter I've ever felt. I'm very happy, as you say, the finish is outstanding. It's very good looking, very comfortable, and ye,s it was comparatively cheap. I don't know how much they are in the US, but I paid about $55 (45Euro). Real bargain and a nice mod which makes a difference to style and function.

I agree, used to have the 5spd one in my B18-civic and now I have the 6spd one in my S. I love the shift knob due to the dark color that matches the interior color schem quite well.
The shifting feels alot smoother due to the weight. Brilliant part!

I had one in my Civic about 5 years ago. Gotta love the weighted feeling, much more accurate shifts IMO.
