My GPW AP2
looks good. kinda the direction I am hoping to go towards with my SM AP2...except with OEM Aero parts so I can remain legal in the STR class. If your looking for a good drop of that kind look at the Espelir ASD springs. It what I have on my car and I think they look awesome here is a link to some photos of mine with the drop.

I didnt and I have drove prolly 8k miles so far and no difference. But I do plan on looking into to koni yellows when I get the coin to do so.
Got it all installed now by me and a buddy of mine. Some of the stock parts were hard to remove, and I didnt have a 5/8" drill bit to make the hole for the air temp sensor. Had to use a dremel grinder to make the smaller 3/16 drill bit hole into a larger one. I had to make it the correct size for the grommet. But in the end it was entirely worth it.
Here's a pic of the engine before the install.

Sorta boring right? Big air box, functional, but I felt it was holding the engine back.
Here comes the new toys.

And here where's it's all installed. Got the AutoTek cooling plate to funnel cold air from the bumper into the intake itself. Looks real nice and sharp, though I had to trim it a bit to get it to clear the hood latch.

When I put it into gear for the first time, the car sounded normal. No leaks, nothing wrong at the moment. I gave the car 5-10 mins of warming up, letting the ECU adapt to the new installation. Didn't want to rev it up yet.

Took it out on a long stretch of road, finally ready to see what difference it'll make. When I had an AEM intake on my civic, I only noticed a mild upgrade at sound, so I wasn't expecting that much. Then, DAT SOUND. Putting the pedal to the medal, the engine roars to life! VTEC is way more impressive, with a deep tone and great boost, it was amazing! The car just felt like it had a new engine when you go WOT.

A job well done. Now I can't stop myself from going into VTEC when I drive it. It's definitely what I felt the car should have sounded when you go all out. Very impressed and I'm glad I finally got this intake in.
