My latest aqcuisition
Since I was asked to, and I said I would anyway, I'll share a couple pics I took of the slight change I made to my AP1 last weekend.
I haven't had it long, not even a month yet but the black on black that was on the car when I bought it just doesn't do anything for me. Not to mention I'm not looking forward to the summer down here with a black leather interior. So, when I noticed the seemingly reasonable price on a complete tan interior here a couple of weeks ago I debated it for about a week. I really didn't intend to make such a drastic change to a car that I 'just' bought but it just seemed like something too good to pass up. Not to mention I do like the tan interior significantly better than just about any other color Honda put in these.
So, after driving 8hrs to Charlotte, picking up all the pieces then another 8hrs back home (LOOONG day) on Friday, I spent the next couple of days cleaning carpet and seats and swapping all the pertinent pieces. Turned out pretty good too! It's not all new but then again, the car has a significant amount of miles on it too.
What I started with:

What we finished with, it really looks good with the black exterior!

That elbow pad has GOT to go next.

The two panels on either side of the center storage bin (the one between the seats) you will need to remove. Easy enough, one screws each (under the hooks) and they pop right out. The center console, or bin, I didn't have to remove. Take out the one screw in the center back of the bin and then the top screws. You'll have to lift the lid to the secondary (or hidden) console to get to the top screws, they are on the top, outer edges, of the center section. I actually don't think I even removed the two rear screws come to think of it. Just lift it up in the front and out of the way when you need to remove or install the new piece.

That looks great! Quick question, when you changed the console cover, did you have to take out the storage bin and panels on either side to replace? About to change mine tonight. Thanks!
