hey man, i met you at the houston import expo. i have the black s w/comptech sc and kinesis wheels... well i just thought i would say was' up.. i just got the veilside ver 1 kit it looks awesome on the car. i'm waiting for my top secret hood and carbon trunk, also my backyard spec. wing like yours. however, i'm not doing it to copy you, when i ordered it i hadn't seen your car so i'm sorry for that. laters....

 

even if the clear hood was real, that wouldn't be a good idea anyways. anyone can see what you have under the hood, makes your car more succeptable to theft.

 

why aren't there any clear hoods on the market? or maybe hoods with a clear center section for those people who like to show off their super-clean engines + mods?


can't be heat-- there's got to be some hi-temp clear acrylic that's up to the task, esp. with enough venting

can't be weight-- not with some of the heavy-ass rims people throw on an S

can't be security-- windows are see-thru too. that's what alarms are for.

could be price-- but even a partial-clear hood would be pretty cool. and for those who are into the bling-tastic neon look, neon engine compartment + see-thru hood would be kinda cool. also, there's lotsa $$$ out there, so somebody has got to want one


so what then? why hasn't a manufacturer put out a clear hood? or have they and I just couldn't find it on the web? (not likely)

personally, I think the clear hood-- photoshop or not-- looks pretty cool!

 

They sell those clear/tinted hoods for civics and stuff but I've never seen one for our car.

 

just imagine if u get just One stone ship on a see thru hood. You will be in tears...
If i had of of them see thru hoods, it would be a show thing only for sure!
Oh check out the oddly named Rabbit House Company in Japan. They actauylly specialise in making see thru hoods!
Dont know if they have any for the S2000 tho
