Thanks... it's between 35 and 40 mpg depending on the size of the motor

Nice to see you guys getting your hands on some original British motoring heritage!
That rear wheel on the 66 cooper doesn't look right to me
I had four different tweaked mini's none had the wheel offset that far back. Is the other side the same?
Are you going to put the orginal dash back in?

Mikey,

Which pic are you referring to? In the butt shot pic, one side is test fitting the 13" wheels and the other is the 10" wheel. I did notice that when I took off the right rear wheel to test fit, there was a spacer about an inch thick. Not sure what that's about.

No, I'm not going to put the original dash in. I kind of like the idea of a race mini roll bar should be in a few weeks

AntGPw, are you a purist or do you think it just ugly?

putist, its had to come by a mini over here in such condition. 'To me' it looks ugly but each to their own.

That's the one! (the 13" test fit)
Couldn't help on the spacer with out a pic.
Racing it makes up for it not being completely original
AntGPW is too young to be a purist
Nothing wrong with the superlites on a later Mini
BTW that is a later engine as well!
Cooper S has twin SU carb's IIRC
