Just wait a couple of years and you can get one sold as an Infiniti.
08 I believe. 75g's they say, but will see what the production brings along.

Its hard to compare the R34 to the next gen GT-R. No doubt the next gen GT-R will be a great car, but it's the end of the RB26 engine which means a bit less tuning potential. Bulletproof will still get the next GT-R when it's released, it'll be a great car...but I highly doubt it'll be as hardcore of a tuner car as the R34 ever was.

If they build it the tuners will come. Just remember all the stuff people use to say about the F20C/S2000 when it first came out.

oh...the tuners will FLOCK to the new GT-R. But all that I've heard mimics the general concept of the inline six RB being overly strong for a stock engine (see inefficiency in production costs) which Carlos Gohsn I'm sure is against. The new engine will no doubt be capable, but I doubt there will be many street driven 1000hp tuned versions. Not that 1000hp is really needed...but you get the point.

I think 600-700hp street driven will be easy enough once the tuners get their hands on it...and thats already PLENTY of power for a street/track car.

I just think for the amount of money they say the new GT-R is going to cost that its going to lessen the tuner market.

Even if the r33 and r34 would have came to the states years ago, they would have probably been over 40g's, but with all the aftermarket that was available before people even knew about them the tuning potential was there and proven.

If the R33 or R34 came over it would have been in the same price range or the equivalent for it's time. Remember the Supras, RX7s, and 3000GTs were expensive in their last hurrahs as well. The car will still be "affordable" (relative term) in Japan and that is where the Tuner market will set itself. Plus, if the car lives up to it's hype people here will want to showcase it.

Congratulations Ben, frankly ~130K sounds pretty reasonable to me when you take into account what it would cost to get yourself a clean R34 in the states to begin with (and then add in all the mods and one-off TS fab work that is probably done on that car)

Beautiful!
