Whatcha think? I wanna paint the ap2 wing before I bolt it down, but my buddy's say to leave it black

Paint it.

I know the feeling when you see a two tone and you think it's gonna look alright...not to mention the fact that you don't have to spend $$$ to paint it is alluring. But color matching keeps the look "clean"...and that's what you gotta do at this stage. If you have plans for other pieces that would accent a red-black two tone, then maybe you can hold out to see how the complete package looks....but leaving random pieces black (or any different color) never looks good.
