GT5 is basically the only reason I'd be buying a PS3 ... so far. There just aren't enough games and I don't care about high-def movies.

 

ASSASSIN'S creed is tight, its worth checking out. i was on the kick you are, i refused to buy a ps3 until GT5 came out, but i came across a deal i couldnt turn down and had to snag it. i got the 80gig and its a really awesome machine. id pickone up, there are actually a lot of good games out now, that look amazing and have the gameplay to back it up.

 

So ... with GT3, GT4 and GT5, you cannot upgrade your car cosmetically besides rims right? i played GT3 and never had a chance to upgrade anything thats visible

 

ya. GT5 is rumored to have some limited cosmetic stuff, but no where near forza.

 

I actually use GT4 to test out my mods before I buy them. I found out that my 4.57 gears were, in many ways, more useful than my increased power from the supercharger (could only use a turbo in GT4, unfortunately).

You also find out that the stock handling is pretty sloppy - especially the rear. I like my car a lot better with the JIC's now - very "tight" and predictable (I'm sure the 10" wide wheels and 35 series tires don't hurt either).

Now, if I could just get my car to handle *exactly* like the Amuse R1 - I'd be in heaven!

 

i have a reserved copy of gt5-prologue awaiting me on the 17th...which my lovely gf will pickup as i will be drunk for st.patrick's day by 8am.



the downloadable demo is unreal

 

this should be the year for sony to really show what the ps3 can do. gt5, metal gear solid 4, killzone 2, final fantasy 13, and final fantasy versus 13 are all big titles that will only be featured on the ps3. if you're into any of those i'd consider one for sure.

 

^COD 4 is wicked and Grand Theft will be the best title on the system (apr 29)

 

yeah, gta4 online will be revolutionary and hilarious all at one time.

 

I seem to remember GT4 looking better. I must be playing the GT5 demos too much.
