Talking My Timeline! - Finished!

Well to start off I'll give a bit of background information. I bought the car from Kent (RopethisTypeR) in December of 2005, and had it shipped the entire way across the US from Oregon to Maine, where I picked it up and imported it into New Brunswick, Canada.

The car is a 2001 Berlina Black with the Black & Red Interior.

Kent had tastefully modified the car previous to me buying it, including some carbon fiber accessories (oem hood, oem lip, & oem spoiler), some suspension pieces (Skunk2 springs, White X-Brace), some performance enhancers (AEM V2, A'PEXi V-AFC2) and some interior comforts (Rick Shift Boot and Centre Console Cover and MUZ Deluxe Floormats.)

This is how the car looked when I recieved it:

And this is the rig it arrived on in Maine:

First thing I did when I bought the car was picked out the wheels I wanted. I knew they had to be simple yet timeless. So I went with the Gloss Black 17" Volk LE37T's. I bought these from WyattH, still brand new in the boxes.

I also decided the stock exhaust wouldn't do so I picked up a T1R 70R with Test Pipe from a fellow member, and installed it immediately. I also picked up a ZTEC Single Exhaust Cap.

Now that it was looking and sounding a bit better it was time for a few more touches of carbon fiber and other dress up items under the hood. I added a Vision Coil Cover, a Cusco Strut Tower Bar, a ZTEC Heatshield, an Evasive Cooling Plate, a J's Racing Oil & Radiator Cap (1.3 Bar) and a Mugen Reservoir Cover

After all that was done, I picked up a set of CraftSquare TC Mirrors (from Bill - BNB), who had recently painted the bases black.

Now that I was satisfied with the way it looked, performed and sounded, it was time to add some listening pleasure inside the cockpit. I added a Pioneer MP3 Headunit along with a Modifry DCI Harness to maintain the Driver controls on the stereo. I also added a Pioneer 1000 Watt Monoblock Amplifier, and a Pioneer Premier 2500 Watt 10" DVC Subwoofer. I made a custom enclosure in my trunk using MDF board and carpet.

And that was it for 2006. I put over 20,000 km on it last summer alone and had it on many cruises, and competed in a few cars shows along the way including NOPI NH (3rd Place).

Here are some pictures as it looked at the end of last Summer.

So...Now on to 2007!!

Over the winter I thought long and hard on what direction I wanted to go with my car. I was originally going to go for a wild look including the J's Racing half lip and canards, and a Top Secret diffuser. I bought a Top Secret Diffuser from a member on here and it turned out to be not what I expected in terms of quality, so it turned me off of that idea and I resold it. I then decided Iwanted to go with a clean look, and siomply enhance the already beautiful lines of the S.

I purchased a set of authentic GP Sports rear strakes (from Roger - ITBS2K), a set of replica GP Sports sideskirts and doorcaps (from rajun asian), a new Seibon carbon fiber OEM style front lip (from Adam - General Kratos), an Import Tuning Garage BYS style carbon fiber spoiler, and a carbon fiber single exhaust cap from GTMotoring.

Together I thought all of these parts would flow very well together and complete the exterior of the car very nicely.

I also bought a set of 4.77 gears from HardTopGuy, a J's Racing ETD, a set of red Samco radiator hoses from GTMotoring, and a set of NR-G carbon fiber hood dampers from Sam (S2X).

I completed all the work myself (apart from the bodywork) on the car, and I take great pride in knowing that I accomplished something myself!

Here are some current pictures of how it sits.

Well, there it is, my S! This car has brought me so many good memories in the short time I've owned it. I still get goosebumps on occasion when I climb in it. The way it accelrates, or hugs the curves and how smooth and crisp the shifts are. It's an amazing piece of Honda engineering and I love every bit of it!

Thanks for looking! All questions/comments are welcome!
