Yes they are different.

I suppose you could put eyelids for the pre 04's on but it will block some of the other bulbs on the 04 headlight. I wouldn't recommend it.

The 04 eyelids have a cut out that leave just enough room for all the bulbs to pass through.

After installing them I tested them with the lights on and the cutout is in the exact spot it needs to be.
