That's not true at all. Did your body shop paint the bumper off the car? If they did, then you will probably need to pay them to reshoot it again - BUT - if they painted it on the car, they should have matched the paint and if they are a competitive shop they'll want to do it for free to keep you happy!

Silverstone is a pain in the butt - I've learned this the hard way......just like you're about to learn.

There are over 4 different shades of Silverstone straight from Honda and there don't seem to be any rules dictating which shade is on which car. As far as we have been able to figure out:

2000 Most are the same
2001 Went to a lighter shade somewhere around VIN 3000
2002 Kept the lighter shade at the beggining of the year - end of the year is ????
2003 ????
2004 Darker Shade (probably what your bumper was painted)
2005 ????

If you put two silverstones next to one another you will never be able to tell the difference, you swap a painted body part between the two cars and Stevie Wonder can tell you the difference.

Where things do work out is in Honda Factory Painted Accessories - I have had no problem matching paint on those (knock on wood), but I have always ordered mine new. The one difference has been in my 2004 painted OEM Wing on my 2001 which matches just fine. I have been warned by Honda parts people that sometimes these things don't match and you have to exchange things with the factory a couple of times before you get the right one (another PITA) - I have not had to do this.......yet.

My car is not lowered at all...
Your right because they matched it to the front lip and tow hook cover. This is why the paint is so different. bah....I am going to go back anyway and and have them bondo over the licenses plate holes. anyway so its all good i guess

Oops - I meant 2003, but didn't they "off" Silverstone in 2002
