I am a former FD owner, so I can say that it is a car that is a love hate type of relationship. Smile per mile is hard to beat, but if you didn't get one that was well taken care of, you can take a beating financially and if you are anal like me, you will get to know the shop mechanics well.

I bought mine around 45K miles and believe I had to make up for the lack of maintenance as it was a problem child. Thank goodness I got an extended warranty as by the time I sold the car I cashed in over $15K in repairs. with the last one being $11K putting in a Pettit Street Ported Engine, new turbos, and ECU. Eck!! I ended up selling my R1 FD. I must admit that some days I miss it terribly while other times I appreciate the reliability of my S2000.

If they had the LSx swap back then, I probably would have kept my FD, as it was almost as clean as this one.

It's an FD. Once you've got one, never let it go.

Why would you ever sell that? Get some fender flares on the rear, widened front fenders, and paint the grill mesh black and keep that car forever.

absolutely beautiful.

looks like you put a lot of hard work into this - you'd never be able to get enough $ for all that effort. keep it.

it looks exactly how i would want mine if i had the spare $ to get one, except mind would be white w/ black interior and sportin' a set of volks.
