Ive always wanted to get the m7s but theyre just so rare and expensive! Congrats on ur purchase, car looks good. Although i personally would never get rotas for my s2k, maybe for my integra.. Only top quality products for the deuce

It's ridiculous that people feel the need to hate on a persons wheel thread just because it's Rota. If this said Mugen MF7s instead there would be 3 dozen JDM jockers in here masturbating to the pics and asking for his myspace to add him as their #1 friend.

That said, I come to the gallery thread to look at different S2Ks. I go to Nordstroms to be a label whore.

fwiw its not just because it says the name rota instead of the name mugen. If rota made rota wheels then there would not be so many haters .. but unfortunatley rotas do not make "rota" wheels. (if you guys are having problems understanding this .. i meant rotas do not make wheels that are in the image of rota. like if you see the M7 you know its the mugen M7. If you see the ce28n or te37 you know its volk). If you see rota wheels ... what do you see? You do not see Rotas but rather replicas of X and Y.

and for the last time please do not generalize that people dislike rotas because they're cheap and are not as bling bling as the real thing. So generalizing all rota haters are "ballers" or wannabe "ballers" is invalid.

 

Really what it comes down to is this. Whether they copy a design or not there will ALWAYS be a market for people who want the real thing. It wouldn't matter if they copy a design they aren't taking away from the JDM wheel market because the people that are buying the rota's weren't going to spend the money it took to get the real things anyways. So it doesn't matter if they are copying a design, they are using a look that is popular and then selling it for less. Its not taking away from anyone else so I don't understand why it is important if they are using a similar design. Some people want to mod there car for less and companies like rota allow that.

 

^ you do have valid point. True that its not taking any customers from the jdm market, BUT the principle is still there.

They can allow poeple to mod their car for cheap, but is it so hard to come with up with their own designs? Or designs that are similiar with a twist of their own rotaness? I mean to straight up copy is lame as hell.

When you look at it, the principle is the only thing that matters. A possible example would be this. You study for an exam .. this other guy does not. But instead he copies off your exam. Now it does not hurt you because the class isnt curved. He does well and so do you. Is that wrong?

I dont think it would be so hard for rota to twist their own designs AND offer it for cheap would it?
