the new s2k.. from a japanese mag
I saw the 2004 color chart for the S2000..
The red/black is only available on the silver S2000's. NOT on red. According to the chart the red cars only get black, along with the black cars, only black. The red/black was only shown on the sebring and silver stone.
And the RIO yellow is a much darker, mustard type looking yellow, for those of you that don't know.

I would have to agree with Nice-Face.
I think Manufacturers make little changes like this so that between the models... there will be a slight difference bringing out the natural instinct in man to "out do his neighbor". Everyone has the "gotta be better than the Jones" syndrome in them... so in order to have the best and baddest s2k, we are tempted by these subtle differences and then end up purchasing such parts in order to top one another.
I say we rebel against the aftermarket shinanigans and keep everything bone stock and never upgrade a single part. i'll start by getting rid of my LM's... I'm willing to trade for just simple stock 16's... preferably the 01 model, as to stay consistent with my car year.
Any takers?

well, i dont necessarily mean to not ever do mods (aftermarket is fine)..but i personally dont wana give them the benefit of having a whole crew of current S owners attacking the bs 'parts' dep't. and buying new pieces..anyway,its fine that they made this change, but anyone who knows..Knows just how special the 2000-2003 S's are...straight up...
(i am not too fond of how car companys are trying to make new models/make changes to models......like, when Integra and prelude was stopped,,and the rsx was created, i laughed because i totaly wasnt feelin the rsx look AT ALL..but hey, watever,,i just considered my Integra a 'classic' at that point then..the newer stuff they make,,it seems like is toned-down a bit engine wise,etc...)just my .03cents...
oh,,and these headlights on the new ones gotta gooo (like the orange in ours wasnt a bitch enuff to get rid of..these joints now look near Impossible to get rid of....they are forcing the ORANGE in everrry car headlight/tailights nowadays)

As an ITR owner, I have to say that the RSX was an improvement over the Integra in more ways than one. the Integra was a nice car but it really was too old even when I bought mine in 01 and was really due for a new chassis as the competition had caught up.
That being said, Honda could have done even more with the RSX.
By the way, I really like the S2200, if indeed, Honda has more agressive gear ratios, but usually, the higher your redline is, the more aggressive you can get with gearing (due to the fact that a really short gear ratio can be made with the time in the gear) Example: if you put say a 4:1 ratio 1st with a 4:1 final drive on a car with a 4500 rpm redline, you're going to top out 1st at a really low number, no matter how much torque you have, so the jury's still out on this one.

I like it's clearly evident that Honda is either watching this board or paying closer attention to the mags and competition.
The interior changes and rear bumper look very nice, hopefully some of these new parts can be retro-fitted. I can't believe it's been almost 4 years!

Thanks for the pic's Derr Ti S2k.
The best thing on the new S2000 are its front headlights and the turn signals.... and I never thought I would like red interior but that 2 tones joints not too bad.

I'm happy I decided to keep my 00 from the the day I took delivery of it. The design, engine, suspension will surely become a classic now and thats what I wanted. The 04 looks awesome as well but I'm keeping the original.
