hey jdmekcivic I also want to get the Gt-U for my Spa Yellow S in gunmetal. I was thinking the exact smae thing as you getting 18x9 rear and 18x8 front. Ive seen on the forums some guys with the specs that we want. Im not sure if they rub or not. Rubbing will probably be determined by offset, how much ur car is lowered, and size of tires. so thats what I know first i need to get enough cash for the wheels then I will worry about measurement.

What are the available offsets on the GTU 18 X 8 and 18 X 9?

Give Evolution a call tomorrow (Closed today due to snow), Jeff should be able to help you out with any questions you might have.

i got a quote from www.japanparts.com, although i'm not sure how good the price is, it will be a bit more since they would be sent by air freight, but it's faster than waiting for mackin, as for the gt-7s, the are already selling in japan in certain sizes, don't know how long it would take to get custom colors, they can also get tires, like the bridgestone re-01s, but i'm still waiting to see if they are d.o.t. approved, by the way, can you fit a width of 255 on an 8"rim?

As for that company, you are dealing with a company located over seas. Shipping on these will be very expensive from overseas. And you are taking a chance on your wheels as far as color and offset. When you making a expensive purchase, you are making a risky purchase.

Plus we are an authorized Volk dealer. As far as price wise. I can provide great prices. And we know s2000. We know the offset. When we order, We know what we are doing. As far as GT-7 goes, there are so far 2 customers from this board have ordered them, and they should be arriving at California Harbor port next week. And as far as 255 tires on a 8" rims go. Yes, you can fit them on the rim.

evo s2000, sounds good, i was trying to go around mackin, since my last set of volks were 4 months late, anyhow i have the le-37s now with a tire width of 255, i think the offset is +50 for an 8.5" rim, so would an 8" rim with a +50 offset have a better clearance with the same tire? not sure how the offset is measured exactly, thanks
